Population
The population pyramid is a commonly known pyramid, it is similar to the food chain pyramid. First, you start out with some scattered plants. Then next on the pyramid are the Primary consumers, also known as the Herbivores. The Secondary consumers , which are just plainly stated small carnivores. These small carnivores eat the herbivores and gain the nutrients from the plants through the herbivores. Lastly you have the Tertiary Consumers which are the main carnivores. These are the organisms that are at the top of the food chain.
Energy
The energy pyramid shows how the enrgey decreases the more the energy is processed. The plants carry 100% pure energy but when the primary consumers eat the plants the energy is decreasedd to 10%. When the secondary consumer eats the primary consumer the energy level is decreased to 1%. Lastly when the Tertiary consumer consumes the Sencondary consumer the energy level is decreased to 0.1%.
Biomass
The pyramid shows the dry weight of the organisms, in a trophic level. The weight is lighter due to the energy lost, from level to level.
